Rel General Insurance launches motor insurance claim survey

MUMBAI: Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group firm Reliance General Insurance on Wednesday said it has launched an off-line claim survey application
'Motoveys Claimlook' which aims to enhance efficiency in processing motor insurance claims.

'Motoveys Claimlook' is designed to assist surveyors to track, manage and execute prompt surveys of damaged vehicles efficiently, Reliance General Insurance said in a statement.

"We are confident that this innovative tool will not just help reduce precious time in settling motor insurance claims but also facilitate great reduction in operational costs," company President and CEO K A Somasekharan said.

According to the company, once a motor claim is registered, the central server application systematically transfers the data to the assigned surveyor who completes the survey in less than 24 hours.

The completed cases can be uploaded on the central server application through Internet, thus completing the survey process within a few hours, the statement further said.

"This sophisticated technology will help reduce the time required to assess and settle a motor claim," he added.

Reliance General Insurance is one of India's leading private general insurance companies and offers over 94 customised insurance products.
